Documentation of St.Agnes Bolster Day event at Chapel Porth in Cornwall. The annual event held on May 1st depicts a modern take on an ancient tale of the Big Bad Bolster giant whom dwelled upon the cliffs of St.Agnes and how his behaviour was challenged by the locals resulting in a dramatic staged finale. The local schools and people of the area act and take part in making costumes for the event. Originally filmed for Jeremy Deller and Alan Kane's collection of Folk Art. This edit is by Matt Redman, put together on dvd for the organisers and people of St.Agnes as a keepsake and thanks for allowing the event to be captured and for providing information and dialogue including the story/song which is patented.
